This ACGME-accredited fellowship provides training in cytopathology to academically and non- academically oriented pathologists.
During the one-year fellowship training program, the fellow is expected to: (1) master all diagnostic aspects of cytological specimens, including GYN, Non-gyn and fine needle aspirations, (2) to be capable and to become proficient in presenting cytological findings and to understand their histopathological basis, (3) to participate in teaching of medical students as well as junior residents rotating in cytopathology, and (4) to prepare an abstract and to submit a paper in a peer-reviewed journal.
The fellow will participate in research projects during the year. This fellowship is not offered every year. Please contact the department as to its availability.
