Dr. Amadeo Pesce, a Professor with the department, received his B.S.
in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Ph.D.
in Biochemistry from Brandeis University. His postdoctoral training was
in Physical Biochemistry at the University of Illinois in Urbana. He received
his training in clinical chemistry at Michael Reece Hospital in Chicago.
He has been certified as a clinical chemist by the National Registry of
Clinical Chemistry and by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry. He
has also been certified as a Practicing Chemist by the American Institute
of Chemists. Dr. Pesce serves on the editorial boards of the Journal
of Clinical Laboratory Analysis , Annals of Clinical Laboratory
Science, and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring. Dr. Pesce serves as
a co-director of the course Professional Practice in Toxicology: A Review.
Dr. Pesce has interests in therapeutic drug monitoring, clinical chemistry,
and specific areas of clinical toxicology including lead poisoning.
