COMPARATIVE PATHOLOGY:

Dr. Gregory Boivin, as Director of this facility, has established numerous collaborations with investigators throughout the Medical Center. Among these are pathologic analysis of the TGFb1 deficient mouse as well as examination of mice that have been made transgenic for phospholamban, a-cardiac actin, and b-cardiotrophomyosin. The major focus of Dr. Boivin's own work is investigations into the pathology of genetically engineered mice. He plays a key role in examining the pathology of lesions in several organ systems, including the cardiovascular, urogenital, endocrine, respiratory, and alimentary in genetically manipulated animals.
