Vacation:
Each year full-time residents are entitled to 25 weekdays Personal Time Off (PTO) to be used as vacation and/or sick time. It is suggested that not more than one week of vacation be taken from any one rotation; however, all attempts will be made to be flexible.
A resident is permitted and encouraged to attend one national meeting a year, upon approval of the chairman and the residency program director. The department will cover the expenses of this meeting, if approved. Each resident is allocated $500 annually for book expenses. The chief resident's allocation is $750.
Office of Graduate Medical Education:
