The University of Cincinnati main campus (west) is only five minutes from the medical center (east). The campus is diverse in character. Modern buildings rise beside traditional architectural classics. One of the focal points is Tangeman University Center where students can visit the art gallery, eat at one of five restaurants or take in a movie.
The University offers a variety of athletic, cultural and recreational opportunities. The newly renovated Nippert Stadium draws intercollegiate football fans to its stands every fall. The recently completed Shoemaker Center is the home court for UC's basketball team and serves as host to a number of sporting events and concerts. Weekends also bring theater, opera, and dance to UC's internationally renowned College-Conservatory of Music.
Residents looking for more active recreation will find a wealth of athletic facilities - bowling alley, swimming pool, tennis and racquetball courts, indoor and outdoor tracks, nautilus and weight lifting rooms are all within a five-minute drive from the Medical Center.
